Jerry Madden, Chairman
Jerry joined The Friends Program in Concord in 2007 and currently serves as the Executive Director. Prior to joining The Friends Program, Jerry was a member of the Concord Police Department for more than 27 years. He spent his last six years on the force serving as Chief of Police. Jerry currently serves on the Merrimack County United Way Campaign Cabinet and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Capital Area Food Program. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Concord. Jerry also currently serves on the City of Concord’s Housing Commission. He is a former board member of CATCH Neighborhood Housing and New Futures where he served as Board Chair. Jerry and his wife Susan live in Concord and have three grown children.

Ari B. Pollack
An Attorney with the law firm Gallagher, Callahan and Gartrell, Ari represents business, land use development and environmental clients on a variety of land use permitting, environmental and litigation matters. He represents clients in all phases of permitting and development including conceptual business and development planning, contractual negotiations and the retention of qualified land use and environmental experts. Ari, his wife and kids have lived in Concord since 1997. Appointed to the board in 2008, his term runs until 2013.

Jim Fowler 
Jim Has lived in the Concord, with his wife and two daughters, since 1985. He was employed with Rural Development, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, for forty years. At Rural Development, Jim served as an Asset Manager, responsible for the operation of approximately 100 rental properties in New Hampshire and the Virgin Islands. Jim was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2003. His current term runs until 2013.

Peter Burger
Peter is a shareholder and director of Orr & Reno, P.A., a long established  Concord law firm.  He serves as the chair of Orr & Reno’s core business group and has been at Orr & Reno since 1988. Peter helps entrepreneurs throughout the Northeast in the sale and purchase of businesses and with general tax and business counseling. Peter is a past Chair of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and the Concord Boys and Girls Club and serves as a board member for the Friends of Forgotten Children and Education for All Children. He lives in Concord with his wife Ellen and has two college aged sons.

Violet M. Rounds
The Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administrative Affairs for the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association. Violet has held that post since 1993. Prior to her employment by CRVNA, she was a member of its board of directors. Mrs. Rounds was employed nearly twenty years in retail banking as a Vice President for New Dartmouth Bank and as a Senior Vice President for New Hampshire Savings Bank. Rounds, a graduate of the University of New Hampshire holds a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from New Hampshire College.

She has an impressive history of involvement with several Concord community organizations. Rounds once chaired the Fellowship Housing Opportunities, Inc., board of directors, where she served 17 years and is a former Treasurer of March of Dimes. Currently, she is a member of the Home Care Association’s Finance Committee, where she once was a trustee and treasurer. She also worked as an Expert Witness for the US Attorney’s Office.
